What will your children and grandchildren say you cared about?

Hello darlings!

Jamie Kramer here. CEO of Earthly After. Did you know that I’m a woman? She/Her actually. A testament to my ancestors, a funny lady, a loving mother, nature lover, snort-laugher, a nurturing friend…and, and, and. Like all women, we are many things to many people but what we are not is equal, especially in the start-up world. It makes no sense, especially considering research that indicates that companies with women at the helm see returns that are 226% higher than their male counterparts. We also tend to uphold higher ethical standards, inclined to consider justice and broader societal benefits, but the sad truth is that we only receive 2% of venture capital funding.

This is where we need you.

Nothing makes sense, we are living in what I like to call an altered “United States” of reality.
Our most vulnerable, discarded.
Our earth, our home, sacrificed for short term gains.

After absorbing the 24hr news cycle and working in the belly of the beast of news/radio/television I felt this ache to do something as deeply a decade ago as I do today, and it left me asking ridiculously big existential questions like:

Could capitalism drive conservation?
How can we cast the widest net possible?
What if we could reclaim our power even after our last exhale?

I spent years pouring my pain into a concept that healed some of my deepest wounds and that I desperately wanted to share with the world.

Earthly After was born. Nature heals man, man heals nature. Repeat. A concept where “We are one”, is not a trope, but a truth. We have always been standing on the bones of our ancestors as we live, love, and give birth to new generations. It has been and will always be a circle without a beginning or ending.

But that isn’t even close to our narrative. As Americans, we are steeped in the denial of death, it’s actually a big part of what is happening on US soil right now. Power hungry billionaires urging us to consume, consume, consume. Death, when she shows herself, always snaps things into perspective, and if not suddenly, then gradually…and here the deeper questions ultimately emerge.

Will you leave behind things that collect dust or cultivate a legacy that defines the life you lived?
What will your children and grandchildren say you cared about?
What did the ending of your story look like?

Earthly After’s concept is simple. “Transform Grief into Growth” And we take that very seriously, because Mama Nature happens to be our boss, and you know…don’t mess with Mama. Through our Death Club, national park urns and memorials, partnerships in both the pet and human spheres, our goal is nothing short of saving the earth and her people.

We aim to conserve one-million acres of forest land and through our partnerships with the national parks, we promise a legacy of protection, beauty and wonder for generations to come.

“We cannot be separated in interest or divided in purpose. We stand together until the end.”
-Woodrow Wilson

Some highlights from last year

Growth, even in the darkest places, is hope. Here’s some highlights from the last year:

  • $20K investment from the Venture Capital Firm Red Cedar Ventures through Michigan State’s Conquer Accelerator.
  • National Park Memorials: CUA Partnership with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and with goals to expand to 2 more parks in 2025.
  • First-of-its-kind biodegradable scattering urns: Now in multiple funeral homes and veterinary offices in the state.
  • Pilot partnerships: Including Reynolds Jonkhoff, the largest funeral home in northern Michigan, Riley’s Candles, Vetr Health, and Stardust Memorials.

Let's make it happen together.

I'm looking for investing partners that share my dream and want to make it a reality. Reach out today and let's talk!
